How We Score Workflows

Each workflow is scored based on multiple factors that affect implementation complexity:

• Steps: More steps mean more logic to build and test. Each step adds 1–3 complexity points depending on type.
• Integrations: External API connections add complexity for authentication, error handling, and rate limiting.
• Data transformations: Steps like parsing, enrichment, or AI processing require custom logic.
• Branching: Conditional logic and multiple paths multiply testing requirements.
• Error handling: Retry logic, fallback paths, and alerting add robustness but complexity.
• Volume: High-volume workflows need queue management, batching, and performance optimization.

Complexity scores map to estimated implementation time, cost ranges, and recommended tiers. These are directional — your actual project may vary based on specific integrations and data quality.

The recommended tier is based on your total portfolio complexity: Quick Win for focused single-workflow automation, System Build for multi-workflow connected systems, and AI Partner for ongoing automation programs.
